Award winning Actor and Singer Morgan James combines his story of growing up a “sensitive” boy in the 1980’s in a small Welsh mining town with performing a collection of some of George’s greatest songs.

Supported by a loving family and a tom boy girlfriend, Morgan spent his childhood navigating the hurdles and obstacles that come with growing up beta in an alpha male world with only the music of the incomparable George Michael to keep him company and help him through adolescence, unrequited love and self acceptance.

Turned down for the role of lead singer in a band at the tender age of 15 because he “sounded too much like George Michael”, the band in question went for a shaky Morten Harket sound alike whocame 5thin a Pebble Mill competition.  Morgan has refused to allow such indirectly wonderful feedback to hold him back and has gone on to perform around the world as the lead singer of Riverdance, beena member of the Royal Shakespeare Company and released his first CD, Here and Nowin 2017.

Ever since George’s all too early and tragic death, Morgan has wanted to produce and perform a show that highlights the genius of George as a songwriter and celebrates the man and the music. Morgan shares his own stories and anecdotes of growing up “different”, the early days in the cut throat industry of acting and the highs and lows of becoming a proud out gay man.

Morgan has embraced and celebrates the massive influence George has had on him as a performer and as a person.

This is NOT a tribute act but a night of wit, storytelling and outstanding music

BY GEORGE!

Morgan will premiere his show at the five-star Sanctum Soho Hotel in the heart of the city. The Sanctum Soho has been a mecca for A-list celebrities and some of the biggest names in the music industry for over a decade.
